It’s that time again! We look forward to seeing you all here over the holidays; keep reading to find out more about our May Half Term 2019 holiday activities. We’d like to start off by thanking everyone that joined us over the Easter holidays, we were blessed with some amazing weather and we hope you made the most of it on Silver Bay beach. Well done to everyone that took part in our Easter egg hunt and well done to the adults that searched high and low for the golden tickets. The lucky winners were the Patey-Kreitzman and McColl families.

We’re thrilled to announce that The Deck House Easter raffle raised £200 for the RNLI and £55 for the Air Ambulance so thank you to everyone that took part.

And finally, we wouldn’t be able to offer such a first class experience without the help of our lovely staff so here’s a shout out to our team members of the month:

March – Shane (Maintenance Team)

April – Lynne (Housekeeping Team)

Keep reading to find out what activities we have planned for the May half term and beyond.

Our commitment to the environment

We are pleased to announce that, once again, we have been awarded the Green Coast Award as we continue to help the ongoing protection of our coastline and wildlife. As part of our commitment to the rural environment and the impact of the coastal path, we have started to plant indigenous species to reestablish the flora and fauna.

Plus, it’s almost time to welcome back our bees, so make sure to book onto a session with Jonathan to meet the queen and her hard workers.

The Easter holidays may almost be over but we’re still feeling in that holiday mood from the success of our Easter activities. We want to thank everyone that visited Silver Bay during the holidays, it wouldn’t have been the same without you!

From scuba diving and lifeguarding to football and pilates, and not forgetting a whole selection of arts and crafts activities for the Busy Bayers, there really was something for everyone to enjoy over the holidays.

This year we changed things up slightly for the Silver Bay Easter egg hunt with people of all ages searching every nook and cranny of the park for codes to solve the final puzzle; it was great to see friends and families working together to find the codes and earn their Easter eggs.

Easter egg hunt at Silver Bay

After working up an appetite at the Easter egg hunt we served up a carvery with a selection of different meats and all the trimmings. We received some great feedback on the carvery and will be doing it again soon, keep an eye on our Facebook page for any updates.

Halfway through the holidays we welcomed prospective lodge owners to our Easter Open Day to experience Silver Bay for themselves, including our luxury lodges, facilities and beach. We hope to open our gates again soon so make sure to keep an eye out for our next email invite.

Our holiday lodges are the ideal place for everyone to come together and create memories that will last long after you’re returned to normality – and one of the best things about what we offer at Silver Bay is that children of all ages gain access to a world of fun with each and every visit.

No matter what their age, your children will find something to keep them entertained no matter what time of year it is.

Discover below exactly what your little ones have to look forward to when visiting the Silver Bay Holiday Park!

1. Half Term Activities

During the school holidays, the amount of families that flock to Silver Bay provides a genuine warm atmosphere for children.

We cater to this and nurture it, and we ensure that there’s plenty of activities for everyone to get involved with at our Busy Bayers club!

Another great selling point for our customers is our private beach, and it’s an amazing place for the children to play in the sea, build sand castles, and also take part in some fun beach games.

Because our park is so family friendly, your children will have plenty of friends to play with – meaning you can sit back and chill out whilst they run amok!

We’ve even won an award for our beach – making it one of the cleanest ones in the country.

3. Silver Bay Leisure Complex

We’ve recently had an amazing spa and leisure development built, and with that there’s an Olympic-size pool where everyone can come together for a pleasant swim and frolic in the water.

This is a real highlight for our Silver bay residents – because who can resist a dip in the pool? For the children, there’s an array of pool based activities on offer such as snorkelling and water polo all under the watchful eye of our trained life guards and coaches.

We also have a gym and a spa to make the most of too. There’s something for every interest type at Silver Bay – and we pride ourselves on being as diverse as possible!

4. Parties!

We love a good party here at Silver Bay, and we often have get together’s at the Holiday Park Club House.

With themed nights from Hollywood Glamour to Halloween parties, we get the kids all excited with a disco and encourage fancy dress.

Parents can relax with friends over a few drinks whilst children get to dance the night away – perfect!

And then you get to watch one of our many photo montage videos after and relive the night.

5. There’s Plenty of Outdoor Space

At Silver Bay we’re all about making the most of our beautiful surroundings. That’s why we always make sure that there are plenty of places for your children to ride their bikes, run about and walk.

Nature soothes the soul, and our holiday park is full of it for everyone to enjoy no matter what your age! We also run a special Wild Survivors course for our Busy Bayers. Here your children learn about the art of outdoor survival with our outdoors expert. From wood whittling to fire building, your children can find their inner Ray Mears and learn some essential life-skills whilst they’re at it!
