Spooky season is upon us! Thankfully, there are plenty of events and activities taking place on Anglesey and nearby to let you celebrate in style. If you’re looking for something to do with the children, or want to experience some more hardcore scares, there’s something for everyone in this list.

Pumpkin Picking at Hooton’s Homegrown

A great way to get little ones involved in Halloween is to go pumpkin picking! Lots of farm shops are now offering the chance to pick your own pumpkins in time for Halloween decorating! Hooton’s Homegrown farm shop on Anglesey, already well known for its produce, is a great place to give it a go.

Beaumaris Castle Spooky Halloween

Another great opportunity for families is the Beaumaris Castle Halloween trail. Put on your creepiest costume and head on down to the 13th century castle for a clue based trail leading around the grounds. The castle is certainly more than just a Halloween venue, making it worth the entry fee for a day of exploring this Autumn.

An evening pass gives you access to the transformed Ffear Forest, which includes a ‘Cursed Coaster’ ride, a spooky netted jungle inhabited by clowns, a ‘Screamride’ and more.

This is a serious spooktacular, complete with Ouija boards, EMF meters and more. If you fancy a daytime visit, the Gaol also operates as a museum. More info here.
