We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our brand new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and football pitch. We’re committed to making sure our owners can enjoy their time here at Silver Bay and, with the introduction of our new lodge development, we wanted to make sure we were still providing a place for everyone to play and enjoy sport.

The arrival of these two new spaces comes at a perfect time, meaning our owners can enjoy both areas over summer and for many years to come.

Introducing the Multi Use Games Area

people playing football on the multi use games area

A MUGA is a space where you can play a multitude of different sports, namely football, basketball and tennis, with different lines and markings for each one. It’s a great solution to provide an area for multiple sports without taking up space with individual courts and pitches.

It also provides a great space for people to meet up and socialise as well as getting a bit of exercise.

New football pitch

Our football pitch is now situated behind the spa and can be accessed by a new path. The new pitch offers a great opportunity for owners, family and friends to get together for a kickabout, all with the stunning view of the Llyn Peninsula in the background.

If you’re spending time on the new MUGA or football pitch, make sure to share your photos with us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Due to the success of our sports sessions over the school holidays earlier this year we’ll be sure to arrange some more for the summer holidays, make sure to keep an eye out on our blog page for more information.

Over the next couple of months we are welcoming a brand new football pitch together with a multi use games area (MUGA) to provide all of our owners the perfect space to have fun and play a multitude of sports.

The new football pitch (turf being laid as we speak) will be situated on the field behind the spa and will be accessed by a new path. Whether it’s a large group or just a couple of friends having a kickabout, the new pitch will offer a great space for the whole family to enjoy. The backdrop of the Llyn Peninsula will make this a stunning area to enjoy a little exercise and competition!

The tennis court is also currently being transformed into a MUGA, meaning the court will be multifunctional – great to play tennis as well as a variety of other sports including football, netball and basketball.

We’ll make sure to keep you updated on the progress and will follow up with photos of the new pitch and MUGA when they are ready. Keep an eye out on our blog, as well as our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts for any updates.

Stunning New Lodge Development

Looking for a luxury holiday lodge in Anglesey with a sea view? Then look no further! This year Silver Bay will be welcoming a new lodge development to the holiday park, Bay View. Situated on the outskirts of the park, Bay View will provide the perfect spot to take in those breathtaking views of the bay and Snowdonia beyond.

What kind of lodge can I buy on Bay View?

Bay View will consist of 25 stunning new lodges set out in two crescents of six and a front row of 13. The new lodge development will be fully landscaped and each lodge will have a hard standing parking area and extensive UPVC decking with glazed viewing panels. One of the luxury lodges available to buy on Bay View will be The Hampton from Prestige Park & Leisure Homes, a sophisticated and cleverly-designed lodge.

The Hampton has some classic architectural design features, such as timber paneling, high-pitched ceilings, exposed beams and timber floors, as well as a neutral, ocean-inspired colour scheme and natural materials. Why not take a look for yourself?

As well as the stunning interior, the new development of lodges will also feature six sectioned bi-fold doors so you can really take in that view of the sea and mountain range.

We’ll release more information as we near completion of the Bay View new lodge development so make sure to keep an eye out on our blog page and Twitter feed.

How do I become a lodge owner at Silver Bay?

Interested in owning a lodge on Bay View? Or maybe you’d like to experience Silver Bay for yourself? What better way to do so than coming along to our next open day. We’ll be opening the gates on Sunday 3rd June between 12pm and 4pm for you to explore the park, the new lodge development and view our magnificent lodges. mands-christmas-decorations.jpg

The first weekend of December has been and gone and that can only mean one thing – it’s time to put your Christmas decorations up! We’ve been keeping an eye on the latest decoration trends this year to help make your holiday lodge look extra special over the festive period. Here are some of the top trends to help you on your way:

Scandinavian

From Scandi-noir TV series gracing our screens to Hygge taking the country by storm last Christmas, Scandinavian culture has well and truly made its way into our lives.

The trend is very much about “less is more” with a focus on the colour white, even down to the colour of your Christmas lights (keep to white bulbs rather than mixing them with warm, yellow bulbs). To keep to the minimal aesthetic, try to stick to only one or two colours throughout the house.

The tradition of kissing under the mistletoe comes from Norse mythology so it makes sense to complete the theme with a sprig hanging above the door. Why not tie it together with a ribbon in your chosen colour scheme? Stockings hung over the fireplace is also a Christmas essential; maybe try some white, knitted ones in-keeping with that cosy, Scandi feeling.

Quirky

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the quirky trend where you can mix as many themes and colours as you want, sometimes the more the better. If you do want to stick to a theme, how about going tropical? Palm tree prints aren’t just confined to summer and pineapple-shaped glassware and baubles are everywhere this year, too.

Not keen on the tropical theme? Why not go for a cactus, unicorn or even a llama? The rule of the quirky trend is that there are no rules, but if you want a bit of direction think colourful decorations in block colours, clashing patterns, neon brights, quirky accessories and pops of metallic.

Country

Countryside styling takes the classic festive look and gives it a farmhouse spin. It’s all about using raw and rustic materials paired with classic shapes and designs. Up-cycled pieces also play a big part and give that homely, tactile feeling.

When picking your decorations think raw wood, textured finishes, industrial metals, hessian fabric, linens and vintage tableware.

Festive flowers

Bringing the outdoors indoors is more prevalent than ever, with many people filling their houses with indoor plants and buying fresh flowers, so it’s no surprise that this has influenced Christmas decorations as well. You may have noticed most shops now sell the classic Poinsettia, known as the “Christmas flower” in North America.

This festive season no flower arrangement would be complete without some sparkle and glitter and many florists are taking a modern approach by combining crisp, white flowers with different metals. This year’s bouquets are also bursting with colour, featuring festive reds and greens.

There’s many ways you can bring the outdoors inside this Christmas; how about entwining a floral garland around your staircase or framing a mirror? Or why not create a spectacular floral centrepiece for the table?

Metallics

This year, metallics featured heavily in both interior design and fashion and there’s no exception when it comes to Christmas decorations.

Copper, rose gold and bronze will be bigger than ever this festive period and this isn’t restricted to just the decorations. Hosting and entertaining is a big part of Christmas so your tableware is the perfect place to add a touch of glamour.

Whether you’re going for the minimal Scandi look or the over-the-top quirky trend when decorating your holiday lodge, we’d love to see your photos. Make sure to share your photos with us on Facebook and Instagram and tag Silver Bay with the hashtag #SilverBayXmas

Yet again, another exceptional half-term was to be had last week here at Silver Bay Holiday Village. Whether it was the spooky themed Busy Bayer activities, or the night everyone had been waiting for, our annual Halloween party, it was a week to remember!

Busy Bayers

It was another action packed half-term for our little Busy Bayers! Of course, with Halloween swift on our heels, it was only prudent that our activities took on a spooky twist. Featuring Spooky Crafts, Disgusting Baking and Slime & Potions, attendance was fantastic, and everyone had a fun-filled break! If you have any pictures of your child’s creations, be sure to share them with us on Facebook.

Our spa also hosted an exciting half-term schedule with the return of Indoor Kayaking and Scuba Diving. We love offering children the chance to practice these skills in the safety of our own pool, and they love it, too.

Halloween Party 2017

No October half-term is complete without the sensational Silver Bay Halloween Party. A lodge owner favourite, this year’s affair did not disappoint. Guests were welcomed to the party on Saturday the 28th of October after a day of hard work put in by our team. We’d just like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in making the party a success – your efforts are truly appreciated!

Upon arrival, we snapped photos of everyone’s ghoulish costumes. You can find the whole collection of snaps over on Facebook, but we have to say the two below are some of our favourites! An excellent Halloween- themed buffet was laid on courtesy of our incredible Deck House staff, and of course there was lots of dancing and fun on the dance floor.

The Deck House Autumn Menu

A new season = a brand new Deck House menu. Our sensational team have put together a menu of delectable treats that will make choosing a favourite impossible.

Using the very best of local ingredients, such as meat from local butchers and breads from local bakeries, we provide only the very best of the best when it comes to Anglesey cuisine.

This season, why not sample our BBQ Chicken Wings, our Homemade Haddock and Prawn Fish Cake, or perhaps our pasta or fish of the day? We also cater to vegetarians, and have some gluten free options too, including our sensation GF sticky toffee pudding. You can book a table for you and your family or friends on 01407 860 860.

Lost Monkey

Finally, we found a lost monkey comforter in one of our show homes. If you recognise this little guy, be sure to get in touch! We want to return him to his rightful owner.

Silver Bay 2017

As we look towards the end of the year, the fun at Silver Bay is far from slowing down. Stay tuned for more details about our annual Christmas and NYE parties, and also our Spa offers for December.
