May half term activities

This month we’re welcoming the bees back! We’ve decided not to move the hives so they return to familiar surroundings. Jonathan will be running ‘Meet the Bees’ sessions as well as planting bee-friendly flowers to enhance their environment. Please remember to only visit the hives when Jonathan is present.

Luke’s football sessions proved to be a huge hit in the Easter holidays so we’re bringing them back for the May half term, along with a multi-sports session. Both will be held in the new Multi Use Games Area and will be available to anyone aged six and above.

Also this half term we have Andy from B-Active running a three day kayaking course for anyone aged 10 and over. The course will aim to teach the core skills needed for safe kayaking finished off with a kayak trip along the coastline.

Plastic straws take up to 200 years to decompose and around 100,000 marine animals die every year from ingesting plastic. That’s why we’re joining the #refusethestraw initiative and will no longer be serving drinks with plastic straws. However, if you still require a straw we will be happy to provide you with a paper one.

The Deck House will also now be serving low fat/low sugar drinks as standard; if you wish to have the full fat alternative, please request this when ordering your drinks.
