We have some incredibly loving and generous residents on-site here at Silver Bay, and nowhere is this more evident than during the recent charity drive on-site hosted Charlotte Jordan, 12.

Inspired by recent television coverage of Alder Hey Hospital, Charlotte set to work with her sister Amelia. They created an array of sweet treats and laminated bookmarks in order to raise money for the Children’s Hospital.

Charlotte and Amelia enlisted other young philanthropists at Silver Bay to help raise money once onsite. Both Polly Stoddart and Charlotte Dry were recruited to sell the goods.

The items quickly sold out. But wanting to reach their target of £100, the girls decided to offer a bin emptying service to other lodge owners. They gave generously and the girls managed to smash their original target.

Charlotte Jordan was really proud of the outcome of the charity drive. She said: “I had seen the kids in Alder Hey on the TV and I thought it would be a nice idea to help them. It was really fun and we hope to do it again sometime.”

We’d like to say thank you to the girls for doing something so incredible during their Silver Bay holidays. You’re a wonderful inspiration to us all!
